I was after a play I could call mine,
I wore costumes of love to fool the hold of time.
I co-directed a sketch I starred in,
Whilst the world designed its plot which I was banned from.

This is all that I am
And it’s not much
But won’t you stay… to watch me change my skin.

I tried goggles and masks, to make believe,
I hired a rundown cast that obeyed to laws I dreamed,
My mind imagined an end where I was still alive,
And I threw the key to close my dreams and lies.

This is all that I am
And it’s not much
But won’t you stay… to watch me change my skin

And how to express,
This is
not what I wanted for us,
I fool myself,
For a look at the world in a trance.
